Here is a tab of the 1995 hit song Good from the Louisiana band Better Than Ezra. The song is a fun little rocker and should be easy to pick up for the beginner guitarist. A lot of the tabs I have seen have the C chord in the riff, but the more I have seen and heard of the music it sounds like a C7, so this is what I have tabbed out.
They do jump up a full step near the end and you will hear the G – D – Em – C7 riff jump up to an A – E – F#m – D progression then it goes right back into the chorus.
There is a little fill that goes on behind the third verse and with a little practice you will be able to pull it off.
Currently the band is still touring around and recording, but most people will remember this former #1 Modern Rock Chart Topper as the bands top song and it still gets airplay today.
This is would be great as a cover song for a full band, or if you are performing with an acoustic. I included the live performance on the Dave Letterman show to show you how the band pulled it off live.
Artist: Better Than Ezra
Song: Good
G D Em C7
Lookin around the house,
G D Em C7
hidden behind the window and the door
G D Em C7
Searchin for signs of life but there’s nobody home
G D Em C7
G D Em C7
G D Em C7
Now maybe I’m just too sure
G D Em C7
Or maybe I’m just too frightened by the sound of it
G D Em C7
Pieces of notes fall down but the letter said
CHORUS:
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good,
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good
G D Em C
G D Em C
Here is the fill behind this part of the song. You can also just keep playing the chords if want.

G D Em C7
Well maybe I’ll call or write you a letter
G D Em C7
Now maybe we’ll see on the 4th of July
G D Em C7
But I’m not too sure, and I’m not too proud
G D Em C7
Well, I’m not too sure and I’m not too proud to say
CHORUS:
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good,
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good living with you
G D Em C7
Uh-huh, it was good
