Beginner Guitar Songs

Green Day has always been a rocking band, and the Punk/Rock style has always been their style.  Know Your Enemy came out like a rocket when it was released, and made as the No. 1 song in two weeks after it was first heard, this tells me it has hit a chord with the public, and is a great riff for beginner guitar song players.

The bulk of the music is played using  Bmajor- Emajor – F#major. You should try playing it in different parts of the neck to get a feel of the sounds you can create by playing the same chords – only on different frets – and cranking up your amp to get a true punk rock feel.

Even though the lead is not many notes, you still need to get a feel of the timing and you can even play a chunk of it as an open Dmajor on the 11th fret, just pick on the bottom three strings and do not hit any open strings - this actually turns out to be - Bmajor – many guitarists use this trick and slide the Dmajor fingering up and down the neck on different frets to create all the major chords – Cool!
