Neil Young – Rockin In The Free World
Neil Young has always been a good source for the beginning guitar player. He has always written a song as he feels it, and never feels a need to overdub or layer a song with more instruments for the sake of doing it just because he can. Rockin In The Free World is the type of song that you can really sound close to the original recording when you play it thru any electric guitar and amp with a little Gain or Distortion. Just because Neil writes a lot of simple songs, don’t think he is not an accomplished guitarist, Check out Cortez The Killer and Like A Hurricane on the Rust Never Sleeps Live album, and you get a feel for his melodic lead guitar playing.
