What I try to do is get the timing down of the song first, and worry about getting the actual notes correct as I learn the song on my guitar for the first time.

That is why I chose to do – Let It Be - by the most popular band on the planet – The Beatles . This song was written primarily by Paul McCartney, and once again you can see an example of a world class songwriter that was not afraid to produce a simple song.

Let It Be is a great beginner guiatr song since it deals with the the most popular open chords on the guitar – Cmaj -Fmaj -Am – Gmaj.

There is a lead that you can follow along on with you want – it is in the A minor pentatonic scale, and is a classic example of the sliding minor pentatonic scale that is featured in many rock songs.

There is also a tricky little bridge in the middle that you should learn, as this is a transition part of the song, but with a little practice you should be able to get the riff down.

If you are a singer, this is an excellent song to showcase your voice, and Let It  Be is pretty much known worldwide, and should be in any beginner guitarists playlist.
